Hello & welcome to Hangar31photography

My name is Maurice and I live in Somerset in England. I have lived here all my life having gone to the local schools and then on to work in the nearby helicopter & aircraft manufacturers, embarking on a lifetime career in the aircraft industry. I am keen on sport and played cricket for many years followed by lawn bowls which I still play. I’m married with 2 children and a grandson and am now retired.

I have always been interested in photography but this has taken off in recent years particularly since I retired. I started with a group who organise photography experiences with re-enactors were I realised that I could combine my interest with history & photography. To begin with I focused on aircraft but now diversify into many different areas, more recently wildlife and landscape photography. As I’ve become more experienced and learnt about different techniques both in taking photos and using various software to edit them I’ve been encouraged to  start using a website to allow people to view the photos and also have an opportunity to offer them for sale for anyone interested. As such I am now using this platform to exhibit my work.
